Peace Walkers

I am working on a Peace Walking Monks series. Each piece is an original. I will not make prints so they are one of a kind.

I was so very inspired by the monks who walked with such calm and peace. The Walk for Peace was a historic, 2300 mile pilgrimage from Texas to Washington DC, This 110 day journey aimed to foster interfaith harmony, universal compassion and peace during a time of global and domestic uncertainty.

Fifteen to twenty monks walked 20-23 miles a day, ate only one meal a day, slept on the ground and were accompanied by Aloka, a rescued peace dog. The journey drew widespread attention across the U.S. and world.

The Peace Walkers

This piece of mixed media canvas wrapped art was inspired by the Peace Walkers.. I was so very touched by them as I followed their journey on FaceBook with their rescue dog Aloka. The image includes three mandalas that represent their journey, peace and compassion.

The size is 50cm by 50 cm (slightly smaller than 20 inches by 20 inches. It can be picked up in Ajijic Mexico. Original, one of a kind. 4000 pesos
