Peace Walkers

I have been working on a Peace Walking Monks series since they finished their walk in February. Each piece is an original. I will not make prints so they are one of a kind.

I was so very inspired by the monks who walked with such calm and peace. The Walk for Peace was a historic, 2300 mile pilgrimage from Texas to Washington DC, This 110 day journey aimed to foster interfaith harmony, universal compassion and peace during a time of global and domestic uncertainty.

Fifteen to twenty monks walked 20-23 miles a day, ate only one meal a day, slept on the ground and were accompanied by Aloka, a rescued peace dog. The journey drew widespread attention across the U.S. and world.

Peace With Every Step

Peace With Every Step is the second canvas wrapped mixed media piece I created in the Peace Walkers series. The size is 20 inches by 20 inches. It can be picked up in Ajijic. This is the original. No prints will be made so it is one of a kind.

The Peace Walkers

SOLD

This is the first piece of mixed media mounted canvas art that I began in February when the Peace Walkers finished their pilgrimage.  I was so very touched by them as I followed their journey on FaceBook with their rescue dog Aloka. The image includes three mandalas that represent their journey, peace and compassion.
